What is faith? It’s more than just information. It’s life. It can be easy to go to Church on Sunday to check the box and then move on with the rest of your life. But Jesus calls us to live out our faith in all that we do. So, how do you take what you hear on Sunday and live it out in your family and in your community? Through reflection and practice. At PewTalk Podcast, we reflect on the past weekend’s sermon at Trinity Fremont and give practical starting points to live out your faith in your family and in your community.

What a narrative in Mark Chapter 6! Jesus comes home to Nazareth to preach and to teach only to find a town of unbelief. Even his own family is skeptical of this transformed carpenter. But miracles are not what Jesus came to do. He came to bring the Word of God into hearts so that all might be saved. No miracles. No problem. His grace is enough.

The promise that Jesus gave his disciples on the day He ascended into heaven becomes a reality 10 days later. What a story it was. What a story it is. A lot of speaking was going on that day, 50 days after Jesus rose from the dead to defeat sin, death and Satan forever. Nothing tops what Peter said that day in the languages of so many nations who had gathered in Jerusalem to celebrate their own Jewish celebration of Pentecost. "Jesus Christ is Lord!!"
