We continue the series of 1st John on the 6th Sunday after Easter. John has a message for those living in the world. It's the 3 C's. Be cautious, be confident and be compassionate. Cautious because until Jesus returns, Satan is alive and well. Sin is lurking behind the corner. Confident because Jesus has already overcome the world. Compassionate because it is what Jesus has commanded us, to love one another as He has loved us.

The Now and the Not Yet. In the Now, God makes us His children, but Satan continues to attack us so that we push away His love. But we look forward to the Not Yet, when we will be made completely new. And we will be like Jesus.

Christ is Risen! He is Risen Indeed! Alleluia! The stone is rolled away. The barrier to Jesus has been removed. And just as He removed that barrier for the women on that first Easter morning, so to does Jesus remove those stones from our lives so that we can see Him, know Him, and spend eternity with Him when He rolls those final stones away on the Last Day!
